Tavolone is emerging from hibernation and they are back to help you feel the spring. Giorgio is flying in especially from Rome and bringing with him some culinary surprises on Thursday 2 May.

We’re gearing ourselves up for the launch of Secret 7” this week at Downstairs at Mother. On Thursday night we’re going to launch the exhibition which opens to people this weekend and it’s your chance to try to bag a piece of art by Gilbert & George or Ai Wei Wei.

There’s been a bit of a change to our reception area recently. We commissioned illustrator Toby Triumph to create a mural for us.

Mother folk were treated to a secret acoustic gig this week by the brilliant Sam Roberts Band.

Our Downstairs space has had a bit of a make-over, we’re how hosting an exhibition by artist Colin McNaughton called Text Paintings and Other Stuff which is on display here until 11 April.

Tomorrow night Downstairs at Mother is holding the launch of The Stuff You Can’t Bottle a new book by King Adz, which looks at advertising for the global youth market and it features some of Mother’s work.

On Wednesday 27 March, Shelter from The Storm and Downstairs at Mother will be presenting an evening of exquisite music, featuring a 30 minute solo acoustic set from one of Britain's best loved songwriters, Graham Coxon.

This April, Downstairs at Mother is very excited to be hosting Secret 7" a collaboration between seven pretty impressive musicians, 700 artists, Universal music, Art Against Knives and Mother.

To support the action of Save the Children in Syria, the Freezing Art Fair are hosting a charity night this Thursday, Downstairs at Mother.
