While we enjoy our wonderful love/hate relationship with the Olympics, and bitch about our congested capital, Mother folk of Greek descent will be joining forces with London-based Greeks to encourage us all to also show some support for the home of ancient Olympia.
Because while we make merry in London, the mother of the Olympics is suffering. The Greek debt crisis has led to the economic collapse of the country, which in turn has created a humanitarian crisis. The poor and the elderly are the worst hit. So let’s use these two weeks to highlight the issue and spread some Hellenic love.You can read this week's issue here.
