The year is 2013. We had our fun over Christmas. Some of us watched Miranda, whilst others played Kerplunk. Now it is January. The cold, hard slap in the face that forces us to consider the year just past and the year ahead.  It’s been a tough old time for many and this one will be no walk in the park.     Downstairs at Mother presents an exhibition of photographs of players from 72 football teams from all over the world, who compete each year in The Homeless World Cup. The shots were taken by renowned Anthony Epes.

    Today at the UN, the Deputy Secretary General will launch a new global campaign to end Open Defecation. Mother's campaign aims to improve sanitation for 2.5 billion people, addressing the world’s single most critical impediment to health and well-being.
