This week is Music is GREAT week, the next stage in the campaign to promote GREAT Britain, which we developed here at Mother.
Music is GREAT week aims to celebrate the best of British music from The Beatles to Adele, Radiohead to Amy Winehouse. Focusing on the British live music, there’s going to be a week-long programme of events, a number of films and a release of a new Music is GREAT DVD/Download.
We worked with Universal Music to develop the Music is GREAT DVD/Download which features 14 of the most memorable live performances of the last 40 years, from David Bowie's performance of Ziggy Stardust at the Hammersmith Apollo in 1973, right up to Adele's breathtaking rendition of Someone Like You just last year. All net profits will go to Save the Children.
