Around the world, over 663 million people still lack access to clean water. The partnership between Stella Artois and Water.org helps bringing clean drinking water to women and their families in the developing world.
This year, Mother created a new set of three limited edition chalices, as well as a series of films, showcasing real women’s stories and Water.org co-founder Matt Damon, amplifying the ripple effect that water has on those communities.
Our Zoetrope - a four metres–high art installation made of 600 chalices – has been filmed rotating at speed, creating a stop frame animation. The structure tells the story of how women’s life can change with access to water. It also reveals this year's chalices designs, featuring the work of artists Wini Awuondo (Kenya), Michele Manuel (Haiti) and Daniel Cortez Torres (Peru).
We also created a unique immersive 360 degrees / Virtual Reality film, in which viewers are invited to walk in the footsteps of Guillermina Hernández, mother of three in her village in Honduras. Viewers can experience her life before having access to clean water, and see the Water.org program changed her life and the one of her loved ones. This before and after story was made possible by using a unique screen splitting technic - a first for 360 films – and is distributed across YouTube 360, Facebook 360, as well as Samsung VR Gear viewers for live events.Agencies: Mother London
